Colors can look different in real life
There aren't many things our incredible DTG process cannot achieve! However, when choosing the colors for your artwork, it’s important to note that they may look different on a real product than what you see on your computer monitor. Even if you have calibrated your monitor to a specific color profile, there are various factors that influence the final appearance of colors on a printed product. Because of this, we can’t guarantee color accuracy 100%.
Our printers will convert your submitted print file from RGB to CMYK color space. This color conversion process changes the color gamut, or range of colors that can be expressed. You must be very cautious when using bright neon and pastel RGB values in your print files. Some examples include hot pinks, lime greens, construction orange, highlighter yellow, easter egg shades, etc. You should also consider other factors like fabric material, garment color, and whether your print will require a white under base layer when choosing colors.
When printing on garments, it’s important to consider fabric material and garment color. The same color value will look a little different on when printed on 100% cotton vs. a fabric blend. Similarly, the same color value will look different when printed on a light vs. dark colored garment.
If color accuracy is important to you, we suggest ordering our pre-made color swatches on a sample product. You can use those swatches to decide which RGB values best compare to the desired results when printed on a physical product.
Note also that all print size more than A4 size are charged as A3 size print.
Disclaimer about direct-to-garment printing
Working with our digital garment printer, their is always a small chance of misprint, spill or burn to the material. This is why we always recommend that you let us order the apparel for you, so we can replace it easily if it gets damaged.
If the customer brings in their own materials (shirts, jackets, tote bags, or otherwise) to be printed on, Create A Tee shall not be responsible for and disclaims all liability for any loss, liability, damage (whether direct, indirect or consequential) to the materials.
Printing on apparel is not the same as printing on paper. Apparel fabrics are more like a woven sponges, and are blends of uneven, woven, flexible, open-fibers with colored dyes, treatments, lint and natural imperfections. Final Digital printed colors are approximate, due to the reaction of treatments and textile inks with these fabrics. We do not warranty or guarantee that prints will be the same from shirt to shirt or item to item. When printing on colored fabrics there will be variations in print color and brightness which is considered normal and customary.
CMYK vs. RGB
The method used by digital printing to print a full range of colors, is referred to as four-color process printing because it uses four primary ink colors called CMYK. We recommend designing all artwork in CMYK process color format in Pantone Process Color Palettes only! Review your colors in CMYK to understand the possible variations/color shifts from RGB to CMYK. RGB colors are only used for computer monitors and websites because they are created using light, not ink. Some blues shift to magenta, yellows tint to lime, plus more… RGB & Generic CMYK Colors DO NOT always print accurately!
Any changes from the pre-assigned color values may create unexpected results since there is no such thing as brightness or contrast in ink. Ink, unlike light, has only one color, so just because you can make changes on a computer monitor or a graphic program, that does not mean those changes will actually print.
Digital-to-Print Color Variation
Regardless of what color format you design your artwork in, the colors printed on the apparel vary slightly than how they apparel on a computer screen. If you’re planning on printing a large quantity of shirts, we recommend you print a sample on the exact shirt fabric and color that your order will be printed on, to make any necessary adjustments. We take no responsibility for the final printed colors, any graphic defects or any other issues with customer-supplied artwork.
Color-Matching of Apparel
Create A Tee assumes no responsibility and makes no guarantees regarding exact color matches of product or production, either within an order or in a reorder. Note that like-named colors used by apparel manufacturers are not necessarily an exact shade match. Due to the international nature of apparel manufacturing, we do not warranty or guarantee the consistency, color, texture or appearance of the actual apparel. Apparel fabric colors which are shown online are approximate only and may have variations in color, hue and tone, especially from one size group to another. Fabric colors represented on computer monitors may vary substantially due to variations in computer screens, resolution, color, tone or any other display settings.
You may notice a slight sheen or color change to the shirt material on the printed side of your shirt. Don't worry, this is not permanent and your shirt will return to normal after the first wash!
You must wash your shirt before wearing. Turn inside out and wash with cold water. Dry with low heat. Washing removes the pretreatment solution used for digital printing and brings back the original soft feel.
Mockups
Our mockups are made up of your text, graphic or photo superimposed on a simulated piece of apparel. Although helpful as a visualization tool, it doesn’t properly or accurately represent scale, color or position. The apparel background images are strictly generic in nature and are NOT representative of the actual apparel, size, style or color you have ordered, they are strictly used for simulation purposes only.
